How to make sure your business succeeds online

on

Creating a business is a difficult thing to do, but making your presence known online doesn’t have to be tough. Here are some tips on how you can do it…

Create a clear website

When you’re creating a website, you need to make sure that its design is as clear as possible. No matter how beautiful it looks, you need to remember that if people can’t find out what exactly your product is immediately, your website has ultimately failed. Before you make your website, figure out your elevator pitch, or two sentences that describe what exactly your business does. Put them on the homepage before developing an ‘About Us’ page that goes into more detail about what services you can provide for clients. You should also make sure that you have a contact page that contains an email address, a phone number, and a postal address – don’t worry, this can be a PO box if you don’t want to put your address online. It’s important to make sure that people can get in touch with you easily.

Add a blog with keywords

Creating a blog on your site is a great way to connect with people: you can tackle any issues that they might have about the market surrounding your product while promoting the product itself. It’s also a great way for you to allow people making Google searches to come across your website online. Adding in certain phrases means that people will be able to find you when they search those phrases. That might seem complicated but you can manage Google Ads with automation that will help you figure out how exactly people are finding and accessing your site, so you can figure out how to get even more customers in the future.

Use social media

When it comes to marketing, there are few ways of doing it that are as simple and cost-effective as social media. All it takes is a few minutes out of every day to check your accounts and schedule some posts. Twitter is a great way to connect with prospective customers – you can use it as a platform to develop your company voice. Consider what exactly suits the product that you’re selling. If you’re going with fashion or something a little more fun, why not tweet using amusing gifs and memes? However, if you’re in financial services you may find that you need to make sure that you’re a lot more professional. Instagram is a great platform for anyone who has an aesthetic edge to their product, while Facebook is an excellent way to create a community.

Learn to network

With social media, you can network with similar companies online. Join online communities where you can talk about similar interests and make sure that people are aware of what it is that you do. Comment on other people’s blog posts and Instagram photos and make sure that you’re friendly and warm at all times – but make sure that you don’t comment too often or too quickly. Nobody likes an online stalker!

Using the internet to promote yourself has never been so easy.
