Online side jobs for women

on

Until just a few decades ago, many opportunities for employment at home were not profitable. And before the Internet appeared, scams and real opportunities were very difficult to differentiate. Some past “scam” job offers include check cashier schemes, mystery shopping, medical billing “jobs” in which you have to buy expensive computer software, and handicraft jobs that cash in on your pre-content. And let’s not forget about the famous envelope scam that was nothing more than a pyramid scheme designed to divert money from more and more people. As the old saying goes: “If this sounds too good to be true, it probably is.” But technology improvements and the birth of social media have triggered a new wave of jobs that are actually legitimate. This gives women the opportunity to juggle a second job.

Virtual assistant

With so many businesses running mostly or completely online, it is not surprising that many people hire virtual assistants to help them maintain organized and complete administrative tasks. According to the International Virtual Assistants Association, these workers are “independent contractors (assisting many clients in many industries) by providing administrative, creative and technical services (from a remote location, usually their home or office). While virtual assistant jobs vary widely, tasks include creating and responding to emails, producing and distributing business documents, responding to media and business inquiries, writing and creating, and more. ۔ Check out sites like Virtual Assistant jobs at Upwork.com and Zirtual.com. While salaries vary, virtual assistants can usually charge between $15 and $75 an hour. However, what you earn depends on who you work for and the level of expertise you need for your day-to-day tasks.

Translator

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, most translators work at home and are often subject to strict deadlines. Although some require a bachelor’s degree, the most important requirement for translators is fluency in at least two languages. The national median wage for this carrier was $46,120 in 2016, though 10 percent of workers earned an average of $83,010. Find job postings for translators on sites like Upwork.com.

Web developer

Creating your own website is easy if you take advantage of many free learning opportunities online. However, most of the population is not equipped to create their own site, or do not have the time, which is why many people create a residential building website and blog for others. According to the BLS, approximately 16 percent of web developers are self-employed, with the majority working at home or anywhere with a laptop and a fast Internet connection. Even better, the national average wage for web developers was $66,130. And you generally do not need an advanced degree to work in this field. All you need is a portfolio of post-education, applied experience, and successful sites that you create and manage. There are even very short coding boot camps designed to teach programming skills in just a few months.
