Questions you should be asking yourself daily

on

Asking questions often leads to more questions than it does answers. But that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t ask them.

By asking yourself questions, you can find out something new about yourself every day, which can increase your self-awareness, knowledge of gaps and confidence in abilities … and be very helpful to you on your way to success and to being the leader you are supposed to be.

Here are some questions you should be asking yourself DAILY.

Did I work toward my goals today?

If you answered yes, then great because you clearly know what your goals are. But if you answered no, then you have some serious thinking to do.

Because to really answer this question, you have to know what your goals are in the first place.

Ask yourself the following questions.

What are your goals? Do you need help? And where can you get help and from who?

It is only after you have figured out the answers to these questions that you can really go and achieve your goals and become successful.

What bad habits do I need to stop?

First, you need to find out what your bad habits are. Which can be painful.

This is because finding out your bad habits involves asking your co-workers for some honesty by telling you what they really think about your habitual behaviour.

Additionally, bad habits can also be things that you feel are holding you back, like negative thoughts about failure and not being liked by your co-workers.

But by discovering your bad habits, you not only become a better person for knowing them, but you also become a better co-worker and employee. And often a less annoying one.

What motivated me today?

From someone doing a good deed to doing well on a work project, so many things can motivate us in our day to day lives. Especially when we aren’t having a good day.

But no matter what kind of day we’ve had, we just have to remember all the things we have done well and use that to keep us going and to keep us aiming for success. No matter how long it takes.

Have I been the kind of person I want to be?

Aside from being a good person, friend and relative, being the kind of person you want to be also relates to who you want to be professionally. Which is something people tend to forget.

This is because a lot of people try to be everything to everyone. And, while being there for the people you care about is absolutely not a bad thing, you also mustn’t forget to look after yourself and do what you feel most passionately about.

If you want to be a successful athlete, musician or accountant,  then go do that and work hard at doing at it well.

Besides, the people you care about, also care about you and would want you to achieve your goals as well.

What mistakes did I make today, and what can I learn from them?

Mistakes are a part of life but are definitely not the end of the world. This is because there is always something to learn from them.

To do this, you simply have to take the time to reflect on your day, realize what your mistakes were and figure what you could have done better.

And no matter what your mistakes were, try not to feel too bad about them because we all make them. The trick here is just to learn from them so that you don’t make them again.

What am I grateful for today?

Well, are you?

Being grateful may seem like something you only do at Christmas and birthdays, but there are a lot of benefits for consciously doing it more often throughout the year.

By taking the time out of every day to reflect on your day and think about what you are grateful for will help you realize what the important things in life are.

And, when it comes to work, it is completely fine to keep striving to be at the top of your field, just remember that there is more to life than that. Like your hobbies, friends and relatives.

So, every now and again, stop and reflect on what’s going on in your life and where you’ve come from to get to this point. Because not everyone has had, or will have, the same opportunities as you.

You should always be asking yourself questions. This is because they can help you realize a lot of things about yourself like who you are and what your goals are.

So, no matter what, never stop asking yourself questions. You never know what you’ll find out about yourself and what you want to achieve.
