Save yourself days of work and thousands of dollars in recruitment costs

on

Time is money ¾ and that’s crucial in any business. And nobody welcomes the amount of time and money that can be soaked up by the recruitment process. But are you avoiding hiring people because you are dreading the process? The hours it takes to sort through all the applications? Or are you also worried that you’ll hire the wrong person? Or it could be the cost of committing to a recruitment company to do it for you … only to find out it costs you a lot more than you realise (and no matter what size business you have, you need to be smart with where you invest your money).

Don’t find yourself in a lose-lose scenario — it’s tempting to just dodge the problem and soldier on without new staff, but avoiding hiring someone can end up costing your business just as much as hiring the wrong person.

Here is where jobactive, the Australian Government’s recruitment service, can make the problem literally go away, streamlining the recruitment process and cutting out the interminable hours spent in trying to get it right (we’ve seen days spent just on drafting recruitment ads in some businesses ¾ we kid you not!).

And jobactive allows you to remain hands on in the process of hiring while also taking away the cost and the tedious process of having to advertise on multiple sites, in the hope that you are reaching a motivated marketplace of candidates out there somewhere.

Whether you’re looking to place a casual, part-time or full-time position, jobactive has a quality pool of candidates ready and willing and it only takes three minutes to sign up.

You even have a jobactive providerwho can help you with the selection process each and every time you place an ad.

And don’t worry about not being an expert in designing a job ad. The blog on the jobactive website will help you with how to advertise and what to look for when going through the recruitment process. They even have spellcheck — yes, seriously, they’ve even taken care of that ¾so you can’t go wrong.

They’ve got some great stories as examples from other businesses that have used the jobactive service; Like Suzy, who is a café owner in Orange.

There are also wage subsidies available to employers of up to $10,000 for hiring a new employee who is either 15-24 years of age or 50 years of age and over.

The subsidies can be paid to your business in different ways, depending on what suits you best. Generally they will be paid over six months, but there is also the option of a ‘kickstart’ payment, which will pay your business 40% of the wage subsidy four weeks after you hire somebody.

Really, jobactive have solved every problem. So what are you waiting for? Dive in and find that perfect new staffer to add to your team!

That’s definitely handy. I am a little bit skeptical (but then I always am) but jobactive get a benefit of a doubt from me. When I am ready to grow my company then perhaps I will enlist them for help. Looking at Australian business market if jobactive turns out to be reliable company then I wish then many years of success.
