It’s not just for special occasions, it’s for busy women who need a convenient blow dry or corporate individuals who need services outside of business hours.

Fabiola Gomez“For beauty professionals, teaming up with LUXit as one of our skilled Partners means they can control their hours and choose when they work, maximise their earning potential and have us handle their admin and marketing. We love our Partners and have created an amazing team of professionals so far.”

What prompted you to start the business?

As a brand consultant in the fashion and beauty industries, I’ve always had requests from industry friends and family to connect them with service providers. I knew there must be a smarter, faster way to bring clients and beauty industry professionals together, and knowing that our clients lead busy and varied lives, LUXit allows them to save time and still upkeep their regular beauty and wellbeing treatments at home (or wherever they choose!)

What have been the biggest challenges you faced?

When you’re working with a startup, you’re always going to have new hurdles each day. I was dealing with an entirely new industry, and LUXit is my first venture into the app world.

This meant figuring out how to market a product that isn’t tangible, and giving myself a crash course in order to best navigate this field.

What did you do to overcome those challenges?

I got excited about the challenge – I’ve immersed myself in the digital world as quickly as possible, reading and researching and watching. Youtube has become my constant companion for Ted talks and webinars, and Periscope for real time inspiration. I’m a sponge for knowledge.

From your experience, what are the 3 key pieces of advice you would give other women?

  1. Never stop learning.
  2. Always present your most real self, and conduct yourself with authenticity and an open heart.
  3. Back yourself and believe in yourself.
