What does feminine business leadership look like in action? It’s an unstoppable movement led by women who are creating a new paradigm of success that leverages the incredible power of the feminine: collaboration, community, compassion, intuition, vulnerability, receptivity and heart.
Check out the what these three brilliant trailblazers, all of whom we are honored to have join us at Emerging Women Live 2014, were able to accomplish when they chose to lead with their feminine strengths:
“So find your place to stand – your place of wisdom and peace and strength. And from that place lead the third women’s revolution business leadership.” – Arianna Huffington
Arianna Huffington changed the way we look at news when she founded The Huffington Post. Six years later she sold the company for $315 million dollars, and remains the chair, president and editor-and-chief of the company. Now she’s changing the way we look at success with her best-selling book Thrive, which shows us how to blend joy, wonder and intuition into our lives to achieve true fulfillment beyond money and power.
“We are here to connect with one another, and to have empathy for one another, and to lift each other up out of the mire. And leaping — is there anything better than leaping?” – Eve Ensler
Eve Ensler created a movement unlike the world had ever seen, by propelling her Tony-award winning Vagina Monologues into a global activist movement to stop the violence against women and girls. The V-Day movement has raised over $90 million and educated millions worldwide through artistic collaborations. Last year she took V-Day a step further to create One Billion Rising, a global campaign to allow women survivors of violence to safely gather and share their stories without shame, guilt or humiliation.
“Vulnerability sounds like truth and feels like courage. Truth and courage aren’t always comfortable, but they’re never weakness.” – Brene Brown
Brené Brown radically re-framed our perceptions of vulnerability and courage with her wildly popular Tedx talk The Power of Vulnerability, which has been viewed by over 15.8 million people. In her #1 New York Times best-sellers Daring Greatly and The Gifts of Imperfection, Brené dispels the cultural myth that vulnerability is a weakness, opening the doors for countless women and men worldwide to lead and live with their wholehearted selves. Brené’s groundbreaking work has been adapted into Oprah’s Lifeclasses and The Daring Way certification, programs for those who recognize that “vulnerability is our most accurate marker of courage.”
